My wife and I saw The Passion of Jesus in a theater here in K.C.  I came away from the viewing with a very contemplative response.  Though I have read Christ's passion hundreds of times in Scripture, this depiction brought reality home to me in a very forceful way.  Jesus suffered all of that for someone as unworthy and insignificant as me!!  Needless to say, I came away with a sense of personal guilt, and a renewed pledge to follow that Man who suffered, died, and resurrected again into eternity. - Kansas City, 2/27/04

My husband and I saw the movie with a group of about 400 people from our church.  I knew I wanted to see this movie but was very anxious about seeing it.  The day before we were to see the movie I started feeling uncomfortable and apprehensive.  This movie is unlike anything I have ever seen in my life.  I could not watch all of the scenes.  I covered my face through parts of His suffering and torture.  I would glance through my fingers as I covered my face to read the subtitles.  At the conclusion of the film there was total silence.  As I stood up I was weak and off balance.  My husband and I could not speak and all I could do was cry.  I felt so sorry that my sins did that to him.  I left that movie with a fresh conviction and repentant heart.  I will say that this visual of Christ's suffering and death on the cross for us will forever be etched in my heart and mind.  It truly makes me want to live a better and more Christ like life. - Unsigned, 3/3/04
